I splurged when I bought these, then later decided I would have to return them because who spend 120 $ on sheets? I got them in the mail, and felt how soft they were and it was game over. After the very first night of sleeping in them I decided I would keep these forever, until I eventually needed new sheets. Then I would reorder the very same. They are incredibly silky soft, I actually slide around in them that’s how soft they are. Very cooling and breathable too. They are well worth the money. Absolutely would recommend to everyone.I run a bed & breakfast and have struggled for awhile to find sheets that are "resort/5 star" comfort/quality. I need sheets able to hold up to insane amounts of washing/drying --ideally with low maintenance. I have not found sheets that meet all that criteria yet, but these are easily the closest I've found so far. So here's the real deal from a guy who has purchased 10+ sets of these, sleeps on one, and washes the others an average of 4+ times a week. The positives:1. These things are insanely comfortable. I get comments from guests all the time about how the sheets felt like silk but breathed like cotton, etc. I agree: they are the most comfortable sheets I've ever owned2. The hold-up incredibly well. No pilling, fraying, etc. despite far more use and laundering than most people would ever do. I've probably washed one set over 150 times and it's still in excellent shape. The negatives:1. They are so tightly woven that when you wash them in a top-loading washer, they trap air-bubbles inside and rise to the surface and don't wash properly.2. They can show spots/oil easily. You can remove them, but it gets much tougher if they go through the laundry cycle.3. They wrinkle. A lot.4. The pillow cases are just way too big. Every pillow, regardless of it's king/queen size, floats around in it and looks less dignified than it should.5. A couple of them have developed discolorations over time. I'm not ready to blame the sheets yet, as it could be the fault of my guests. Nonetheless, they seem to get areas that look like bleach touched them, even though I don't use bleach on them ever. The Verdict:Despite annoying flaws, the positives are so overpowering that I still made these my go to sheets for my bed & breakfast. I've tried over a dozen others and NONE have come as close to meeting my needs as these. I, therefore, recommend them, but only with the foreknowledge that the advantages come with some distinct disadvantages too. I'd give them a solid 4.5 stars.TIPS FOR USERS:Since I've had more experience with these sheets than just about anyone else on here, here are some tips to get around a few of the negatives listed above:1. When possible, let the sheets and especially the pillowcases air dry 50% of the way. If you are super particular about wrinkles (like I am), you can iron the pillowcases and the hem of the sheets at this point and they will come out absolutely perfect with the least expenditure of time. Alternatively, you can let them air dry totally and you can skip ironing without many wrinkles. I just drape them over a couch and go about my business, then fluff them in the dryer for their last 5-10 minutes. .2. When you first get your sheets in the mail, wash them, then follow my instructions above about 50% air-drying. Then iron them, but go over the creases about twice as much as your normally would. This gives the sheets a bit more of a defined seam to follow and will make them look and iron much easier for the rest of the time you own them. It's a pain the first time you do it, but you'll thank yourself for the rest of the time you own them.3. When you put the sheets in a top-loading washing machine, push them down into the water and hold them for a little bit/push out the bubbles inside. This will prevent them rising to the surface and not laundering properly.4. Buy the biggest pillows you can to fill the insanely large pillowcases they provide. These sheets feel very nice.very luxurious. But after one washing I noticed little pills and lint on various parts of the bottom sheet throughout various areas. This includes the bottom of the bed. This is very disconcerting .In addition the bottom sheet elastic is weak and doesn’t hold well compared to other sheets I have of the same size.I received my sheets this week and promptly washed them and put them on the bed. I was pleasantly surprised that they did not wrinkle as much as I expected them to based on some of the reviews. I really do think the different experiences people have with wrinkling are due to how a person does their laundry... such as: how soft/hard their water is, how hot or cool they dry them, how long the sheets are left in the dryer, etc. Wrinkles can be irritating ... but if they continue to wash like this then I'll be more than satisfied. These sheets are extremely comfortable and soft... and I am more than pleased with the oversize top sheet. Finally, a manufacturer took the top sheet into consideration when making sheets for a deep mattress. However, if I had an 8" / 10" mattress I don't think I would be happy because they are trying to force a square peg into a round hole. In other words, make the sheets for the depth of the mattress!----> I am happy with my purchase and would have given the sheets 5 stars, except for the following:MAJOR FLAW WITH ALL SHEET MANUFACTURERS FOR DEEP MATTRESSES: This applies to every set of sheets I have purchased (which is a lot). I am soooo tired when a company states that their sheets (pick your brand) fit deep pocket mattresses... up to 18" / 20" / 22" etc. For me, that is not the 'major' problem. Yes, I definitely need the corners to fit... but even when the corners fit, the sheets do not fully cover the sides of the mattress. I don't think I can be the only person who has this problem. My mattress is only 17 inches deep... I just measured it again in three different places. I have purchased sheets rated for an 18" ... 20" ... and now 22", and the sides are still not adequately covered. These sheets however, come the closest... but there is still an area where it doesn't cover the mattress. I am hoping the sheets will stretch a little and eventually fit completely... but I'm not holding my breath. If a sheet manufacturer would market their sheets addressing issues such as these, up front and center, then it would greatly help their sales. WHY do I, the consumer, have to search to find the depth of mattress a sheet is rated for??? WHY do I, the consumer, have to search to find out if the dimensions of the top sheet is adequate to cover my deeper mattress? WHY do consumers have to ask questions of other consumers for information the manufacturer should provide up front and center??? Honestly, the sheet manufacturers are relying on the consumers to sell their sheets! Granted, MALOUF does pretty well in this area, so these comments are NOT specifically directed to them... but even they could do better.Would I buy these sheets again? Right now I say yes, and I probably will. After sleeping on these sheets I don't think I ever want to go back to cotton again, and for that matter I don't like flannel, and most of the microfiber sheets. These sheets have a nice feel and a nice weight. If these sheets had covered my mattress completely, both on the corners AND the sides, I would be purchasing another two sets today. As it is, I am on Amazon searching for sheets yet again... and I'd rather be able to purchase more of these. I plan to come back in a few months to update this posting... addressing any additional issues, positive or negative, that may arise.Come on MALOUF ... get on the ball and show the other manufacturers how to sell sheets!March 2017 UPDATE: I am updating my rating and to say that I would NOT purchase another set of these sheets. I have a 17" mattress and the bottom sheets accommodates the corners ... but not the sides. These sheets leave you with portions of the mattress showing on both sides of the bed. I really tried not to let this bother me, but it does. I want the entire mattress completely covered... not just the corners. My mattress is 17" and they say it will cover a 22" mattress. HARDLY!Sleeping on these sheets caused skin breakouts for me of a strange sort. My back skin pores seems to develop a tiny granule of hard stuff inside, one every inch or two, and when I express it out, the skin swells and oozes fluid for a few minutes. This phenomenon stops when I change back to my cotton sheets.I wrote to the seller asking to exchange my sheet set for cotton, but haven't heard back.A Google search informed me that, in fact, the hypoallergenic quality of rayon is just a marketing slogan, and in fact lots of folks have skin reactions to it, bc lots of chemicals are required in its production, to turn wood into soft sheets. If you're not worried about sensitive skin reactions, then these sheets are quite lovely and soft. And wrinkly, like other reviews have said.I will preface this review by saying i only paid $60ish for these sheets, but if I'd paid full price i would've bumped the rating down a star. They feel different than cotton sheets, but not better. When i toss the flat sheet over the bed it feels like I'm throwing a thin sheet of rubber. But when i climb into bed am i wowed by their softness? Their anything? No. And they got hella wrinkly from my night sweats (i don't have a medical condition, it was just a warm night). I have another set of bamboo sheets that I LOVE and these don't compare. Hell, they don't even compare to the fancy costco-Kirkland brand sheets I have in 5 colours (now those are 5 star sheets!). So in conclusion, I have no conclusion.P.s. if you are selling a sort of see through cream sheet, don't put big black tags on every piece! Ugh.Very nice to sleep in. The colours stay rich. Cool when first getting into bed. They require very particular washing and I would not recommend putting them in the dryer at all. They pill very easily, which I find disappointing considering the price of them. These were absolute best sheets for our adjustable bed. Bottom sheet with all around heavy elastic is what we needed. They were much cheaper from Amazon than directly from manufacturer who since they don't deliver to Canada suggested Amazon. Not 5 stars because they do wrinkle. Loved colour and softness.Beautiful feel and look out of the box - they felt like heaven! I still love the colour (I chose "rain") and, for the most part, the feel... after two weeks of use though, there's already pilling happening on the fitted sheet where I sleep each night which takes away from the great feel :( Also, if I wasn't annoyed by the pilling I'd let this go, but... the oversize of the pillowcases and fitted sheet is too much, making my pillows feel sloppy and my bed feel messy with excessive sheet overhanging. I wish I could return them, to be honest.I love these sheets. I thought i would take a chance as i am not familiar with bamboo sheets. these a excellent. i usually take 3 hours to get to sleep because of heat. now it only take 1 or 2 hours.
